Evan Anstey Announces Next Installment of “Alternates” EP Series

Evan Anstey’s 2021 EP Alternates I was a retelling of five tunes the Buffalo, NY singer-songwriter penned or co-wrote, ranging from solo indie-folk material to his joint efforts with rock bands over the years. Now, its sequel, Alternates II, is set to hit streaming services on June 21, 2024.

Where Alternates I mostly stayed within the walls of acoustic instruments, Alternates II is a genre-hopper. The new EP promises a spectrum of sounds, including hard rock, techno, and of course, a bit of bluegrass.

Doug White and Alex Feig prepared the mixes for “Heart Beats Again” and “Days When I Was Happier (Alex Feig Remix),” respectively.

“I wanted to step out of the box on this one. Plans changed along the way, but that’s one of my favorite parts about making a record -- the fluidity of art,” Anstey said.

Alternates II will be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and all other major services June 21, 2024. Digital downloads will be available on iTunes and more.
