Evan Anstey Announces Exit from Tonemah

After half a decade with the band, Evan Anstey announced Wednesday that he is no longer a member of Tonemah.

This comes after Anstey first joined the band, led by songwriter Darryl Tonemah, in the spring of 2019.

During this time, Anstey was brought on board as a violinist and mandolinist, joining the Tonemah band for the “Red Dirt Remarks” release show in May 2019. Five years of subsequent shows and recording sessions followed.

Anstey’s final show with the band took place on Saturday, June 29 during the Strawberry Moon Festival at the Artpark Mainstage Theater.

“Together, we forged a lot of great memories and played some shows I’ll never forget,” Anstey said. “I’m thankful for these guys and I wish them the best going forward.”
